Back Pain Seminar

When you’ve had enough of back and neck pain, learn how to get back to your best life at a free webinar with Premier Health Spine specialists.

During these webinars, our physicians will discuss common causes of back and neck pain and give insights into new treatment options to discuss with your physician — both operative and non-operative.

You’ll also learn practical tips for managing back and neck pain that you can build into your own life.

Preparing for Spine Surgery

At Premier Health, we want you to fully understand your spine surgery and know what to expect. Miami Valley Hospital offers a monthly spine class to educate patients before surgery about how to prepare for their procedure and recovery.

  • Location: Miami Valley Hospital South, Cancer Center Conference Room B
  • Date and time: Meets the first 3 Fridays of the month, noon to 1 p.m.
  • Location: Miami Valley Hospital North, Patient Education Conference Room B
  • Date and time: Meets the first 3 Thursdays of the month, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Equipment and Care Services

When you’re living with a spine condition or recovering from a surgery, you might benefit by using tools and devices to make tasks easier. At times you may also need extra help at home.

  • Medical and occupational equipmentMedical and occupational equipment can be provided. Walking aids, wheelchairs, hospital beds, occupational therapy items, a reacher or dressing stick let you be independent in your care and daily living.
  • Independent care services. Services provided by Fidelity Health Care include companion services, bathing, meal preparation, and housekeeping to support you and your caregiver and family.

Outpatient Nutrition Counseling

The food you eat significantly influences your health and well-being. A diet of nutritious food can help you manage and live with a chronic disease. To help you develop a diet designed to support treatment of your medical condition, Premier Health offers outpatient nutrition counseling and diet education.

With a referral from your health care provider, you can schedule your appointment with a Premier Health licensed registered dietitian. Many insurance plans cover nutrition counseling, also referred to as medical nutrition therapy.
