Research to Advance Trauma Knowledge

As a Level I trauma center, Miami Valley Hospital fulfills the American College of Surgeons’ (ACS) requirements to be a leader in research and education, as well as to provide superior, comprehensive trauma care.

Miami Valley, like other Level I trauma centers, is uniquely suited to advance trauma knowledge due to the acuity and volume of trauma patients served. The ACS requires Level I trauma centers to publish a minimum of 20 research publications every three years in respectable, reputable medical journals. Miami Valley Hospital consistently meets and exceeds Level I research standards.
