Atrium Medical Center to Hold Free Community Picnic

Picnic will be held in conjunction with annual Highway to Help charity motorcycle ride and feature appearances by NFL Alumni—Cincinnati Chapter members

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (July 19, 2018): For more than 100 years, Atrium Medical Center has proudly served the health care needs of the Butler and Warren county areas. As the only full-service hospital and trauma center in Warren County and the City of Middletown, Atrium offers a wide range of nationally-recognized services close to home. On August 4, join us at a FREE Community Picnic, and learn more about the latest hospital services and technology available locally for your health care needs.

The community picnic will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, at the hospital’s Professional Building, 200 Medical Center Drive, Middletown.

Family-friendly activities will include:

  • FREE grill-out lunch, plus snow cones and snacks;
  • Highway to Help charity motorcycle ride departure and safety fair featuring the CareFlight helicopter;
  • Health screenings and health information;
  • Hospital tours;
  • Atrium Medical Center Mobile Mammography Coach available for appointments and tours. Schedule a mobile mammogram by calling (855) 887-7364;
  • Appearances by NFL Alumni—Cincinnati Chapter members Jim Breech, the Cincinnati Bengals’ all-time leading scorer; Robert Jackson, former safety and Cincinnati Bengals player; David Wilkins, former defensive end and San Francisco 49ers player; Bob Johnson, former center who played 12 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals; and Keith Rucker, former defensive tackle and Cincinnati Bengals player;
  • Meet Mollie Watson from Q102; 
  • Giveaways, raffle prizes and more.

The picnic’s festivities also will feature community partners, including Abilities First, Atrium Family YMCA, Families First, LifeCenter Organ Donor Network, Miami University Regionals, Middletown Christian Schools, Middletown Visitors Bureau, MidPointe Library, Otterbein Middletown, The CEI Foundation, Warren County Career Center, and Warren County Community Services.

Highway to Help, which will also be held on August 4, returns for its fourth consecutive year at Atrium Medical Center.

To register for the three-hour motorcycle ride, contact Atrium Medical Center Foundation at (513) 974-5144 or email foundation@atriummedcenter.org. Registration is $25. Riders can also register the same day of the event beginning at 10 a.m. at Atrium. Motorcycles depart the hospital campus at noon.

Proceeds from Highway to Help, which is organized by hospital employees, benefits Adopt-A-Family during the holidays. Last year, money raised at Highway to Help aided more than 60 local families and children.
