Premier Health Bike Park Sets Grand Opening in Lebanon for June 2

BikePrk-Logo-350x350LEBANON, OH—(March 23, 2018) - The City of Lebanon will host the grand opening celebration of the Premier Health Atrium Medical Center Bike Park on June 2, 2018. The event will feature mountain bike demonstrations, clinics, professional BMX exhibitions, music, food and giveaways.  The event begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until 2 p.m.

The park, located at 475 East Turtlecreek Road, in Lebanon, started as a concept from members of the Lebanon Parks and Recreation Board. The board sought to develop a 45-acre city-owned parcel into an off-road bike park that features a mountain bike trail, pump track, skills area, jump line, and Cyclo-cross course. The multi-use bike park is unique to the region, and will offer cycling opportunities for all skill levels and abilities.

Construction of the bike park was made possible from $200,000 in state grant funding, and an additional $60,000 raised through private donations. Premier Health and Atrium Medical Center are the park’s Premier sponsors.

“Atrium Medical Center, a member of Premier Health, and Atrium Medical Center Foundation have a mission of improving the health of the communities we serve with key partners such as the City of Lebanon. We’re proud to partner with the city to open a Bike Park that will provide Cincinnati-Dayton region residents a new way to live active lifestyles, and also provide another recreational destination to enjoy in Warren County,” said Michael Stautberg, president of Atrium Medical Center Foundation.

Parking for the grand opening will be available at the Rural King Shopping Plaza on Deerfield Road.  A crosswalk and biking lane will be provided for the event for attendees to ride their bikes over to the park, or visitors can take a free shuttle over to the event.  For more information, visit www.lebanonbikepark.org, @LebanonBikePark or Facebook.
