Premier Health Wright State University APRN Academy

Advance Your Nursing Career While You Earn

The Premier Health Wright State University APRN Academy is a collaborative program designed to support registered nurses as they advance to Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) roles. This structured earn and learn pathway combines graduate education, financial support, mentorship, and hands on clinical experience while participants maintain part time employment with Premier Health.

About the APRN Academy

The APRN Academy provides a clear and supported pathway from RN to APRN through Wright State University’s College of Nursing, paired with real world experience at Premier Health.

Participants are selected into a cohort and supported throughout their academic journey, with the goal of transitioning into an APRN role within Premier Health upon program completion.

Available nurse practitioner tracks include Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner.

How the Program Works

Participants apply and are selected into an APRN Academy cohort. Once selected, they enroll in an eligible APRN program at Wright State University while working part time at Premier Health. Throughout the program, participants receive tuition assistance and mentoring support. After graduation, participants transition into an APRN role within Premier Health.

Benefits of the APRN Academy

Participants in the APRN Academy receive up to $10,000 per year in tuition assistance, flexible work scheduling to support academic success, and primarily online coursework through Wright State University. The program also offers dedicated mentorship and professional development support, as well as an employment opportunity with Premier Health following graduation.

A one-year service commitment with Premier Health is required after program completion.
