Application Processing

• Premier Health and University of Dayton will independently review and rank applicants on the basis of their application packet and optional interview.
  
• No committee member shall use discriminatory practices in assignment, acceptance and evaluation of any Intern. Applicants shall have equal opportunity with respect to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, and marital status.
• All ACEND Traffic Rules, including dates in the above Application Timelines must be followed by applicants and programs: Dietetics Applicant and Program Traffic Rules.  Any changes in the applicant’s status must be communicated to the program.

Interns accepted into the Premier Health Dietetic Internship will be required to:

• Remit non-refundable $2,000 internship fee ($1,000 upon acceptance into the program + $1,000 due in December the following year prior to rotations starting).
• Provide proof of immunization (showing completed MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella, and flu vaccines or granted exemption request).
• Provide proof of health insurance coverage (health insurance coverage for dietetic interns is not available through Premier Health).
• Agree to a background check completed by University of Dayton at no cost to intern.
• Complete a drug and TB screen at a facility of hospital’s choice (in Dayton, Ohio) at no cost to intern.
• Have student membership in both the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Dayton Dietetics Association.
• Complete ServSafe Manager and CITI training as well as review Internship documents.
