Continuing Medical Education

Premier Health develops leading-edge continuing medical education (CME) programs to promote the skills and knowledge of our medical staff. Our emphasis on lifelong learning supports our goals of providing high-quality, high-value health care services to our community.

We commit both administrative and financial resources to plan and implement CME activities in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation

Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Wright State University (WSU) and Premier Health.

WSU designates live CME activities for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians may claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CME Resources

We invite you to use these resources to engage in a variety of CME activities:

  • CME calendar, provided jointly by Premier Health and Wright State University, that lists medical and surgical educational events approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM, including conferences, one-day symposia, grand rounds, case conferences, tumor boards, lectures, journal clubs and teleconferences.
  • Medical libraries at Premier Health hospitals, which provide 24-hour access to self-directed learning resources, including computerized databases, Internet access, and audiovisual and print media.

Personnel at each hospital also can assist if you are creating a course and applying for CME credit or if you want a CME transcript for a Premier Health or WSU-sponsored program you’ve attended.
