What is a Laborist?
A laborist is an obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN) who specializes in caring for women in labor and during delivery. At Premier Health, our nocturnist labor and delivery team includes experienced labor and delivery specialists who are available and on site at Miami Valley Hospital. This ensures that every day, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., laborist experts are available for our soon-to-be moms cared for by practices who choose to utilize them. Our laborists tend to both regular labor and delivery as well as Family Beginnings patients.
