Weight Loss Surgery

  1. Are you 100 pounds or more overweight?
  2. Is your body mass index 35 or greater with health conditions related to obesity, or 40 or greater without any obesity-related conditions?
  3. Do you have a weight-related health problem such as diabetes or high blood pressure?
  4. Have you tried to lose weight through conventional methods (exercise, diet programs, calorie counting, group sessions, one-on-one counseling) but been unsuccessful?

If you answered yes to two or more of these questions, you may be a candidate for weight loss surgery.

Our weight loss surgeons, physician assistants, registered dietitians, and entire team of Premier Health weight loss experts work together with you to implement a weight loss solution that’s right for you. Our team is fully committed to supporting you in your weight loss journey.

Before proceeding with weight loss surgery, we evaluate your physical and psychological health. This helps ensure the safety and success of your procedure. After weight loss surgery, you’ll have follow-up visits with a medical provider and dietitian. You may also take advantage of monthly support group meetings, and exercise and behavior modification training.

Our surgeons perform all weight loss surgeries at Miami Valley Hospital, where they work with a surgical team skilled in assisting with weight loss procedures. Miami Valley Hospital has achieved distinction as a Comprehensive Bariatric Center, a designation awarded by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation & Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP).

We have also been chosen as a Bariatric Center of Excellence for most major insurance companies in Southwest Ohio because of our ongoing commitment to excellence.
