Head and Neck Cancer Team

You’ll have a team of experts working with you at every step. We focus on treating your cancer and helping you keep and restore your speech, taste, and swallowing function, overall physical appearance and quality of life.

The care of patients referred to our program is coordinated by Sameep Kadakia, MD, FACS and Kazim Alwani, MD, our fellowship-trained head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgeons.

Our surgeons work closely with all your specialists, including:

• Radiation oncology
• Head and neck surgery
• Plastic and reconstructive surgery
• General surgery
• Radiology
• Neuroradiology
• Pathology
• Pulmonary and GI team
• Endocrinology and internal medicine support
• Dermatologists and Mohs surgeons
• Neurosurgical collaboration
• Oral surgery and in-house dental treatments
• Oncology nurse navigators

You’ll also work with a nurse navigator, who will help guide you through your treatment process. Navigators serve as your primary point of contact during your diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. They can also connect you to additional services and education.
