We serve as the connection point between EMS agencies and the hospital system. Our team ensures smooth communication, quick support, and strong alignment across the full patient care journey.

Our hospitals deliver advanced, time‑sensitive treatment supported by standardized pathways and multidisciplinary expertise in critical conditions such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, cardiac arrest, and sepsis.

We help support and grow the EMS workforce by offering:

• Clinical experiences for EMT, Advanced, and Paramedic students
• Continuing education for current EMS providers, including online distance learning, in‑person training classes, and educational conferences.

We work closely with Premier Health’s service line outreach partners to help connect EMS with hospital departments, streamline workflows, and improve provider and patient experiences.

We proudly collaborate with key EMS leadership organizations, including:

• Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association (GDAHA)
• Region’s Physician Advisory Board (RPAB)
• Greater Miami Valley EMS Council (GMVEMSC)
• State of Ohio EMS

These partnerships help support unified standards, preparedness, and high‑quality care across the region.

We partner with EMS agencies on patient follow‑up, case reviews, and continuous quality initiatives that strengthen prehospital care and improve outcomes.

Our focus on efficient ED handoffs, rapid triage, and streamlined workflows helps reduce delays, improve communication, and support EMS crews every time they enter our facilities. We also work closely with our local Community Paramedicine programs to work on improving processes and patient care.

At Premier Health EMS Center of Excellence, we value the critical role EMS professionals play in patient care. We understand that timely, appropriate follow‑up information supports quality improvement, strengthens clinical partnerships, and enhances continuity of care.

To protect patient privacy, all follow‑up requests are processed in full accordance with HIPAA regulations. Only the minimum necessary information will be shared, and patient details will be released solely for legitimate healthcare operations, such as quality assurance, provider education, or clinical outcome review.

EMS providers seeking patient follow‑up may submit a secure request to the appropriate Emergency Department EMS Coordinator. A member of our team will review and respond through approved, encrypted communication methods.

Information Required for Follow‑Up Request:

• Date of service
• Patient identifiers (minimum necessary)
• EMS agency name
• EMS provider contact information
• Purpose of follow‑up (QA/QI, process improvement, education, etc.)
