Free Community Conference on Substance Use Disorder & Mental Health

Made possible through Direct Opioid Settlement grant funds from Montgomery County, this free event will be held Monday, October 20, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Steam Plant in downtown Dayton (registration begins at 9:30 a.m.).

Designed for caregivers and community partners, the conference provides an important opportunity to deepen knowledge of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Mental Health, while exploring strategies for resilience and sustainable self-care.

Featured speakers include Anna Murley Squibb, MD; Christopher Croom, MD; Wayne M. Sotile, PhD; and Tia Marcel Moretti, LSW. Sessions will cover:

  • The state of addiction in Dayton 
  • Best practices for caring for pregnant and parenting women with SUD
  • Team-based approaches to care
  • Tools to strengthen caregiver resilience

A panel discussion moderated by Dr. Squibb will highlight how cross-disciplinary collaboration can improve patient outcomes and provider well-being.

This conference is approved for up to four AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ through a joint providership with Wright State University. Lunch is provided, and all sessions are offered at no cost to attendees.
