We are thrilled to announce that our health system has selected DAX Copilot by Nuance as our ambient documentation solution. This marks a transformative step forward in reducing documentation burden and enhancing provider and patient satisfaction.

DAX Copilot is a next-generation, AI-powered solution that seamlessly captures the patient-provider conversation in real-time and drafts clinical documentation directly into the electronic medical record. The goal is to allow providers to focus on their patients, not their keyboards, while delivering high-quality notes with speed and accuracy.

Why DAX Copilot?

  • Real-Time AI Assistance: As you conduct your visit, DAX listens securely and intelligently drafts your note in the background, reducing after-hours documentation and helping restore work-life balance.
  • Epic Integration: DAX works natively within Epic, so there's no need to switch platforms or workflows. DAX utilizes the microphone on your phone via the Haiku application to capture the necessary audio.
  • Multi-Specialty Support: Whether you’re in primary care, surgical specialties, or emergency medicine, DAX adapts to your documentation style and clinical context.

Assuming no issues with the final contracting, we will be planning to launch the 60 day pilot soon. Following the pilot, a phased rollout plan will begin, and we will provide training opportunities, support resources, and enrollment instructions as those details become available. While the pilot will initially be limited to ambulatory offices, the goal is to expand the technology to the Acute Care and ED areas in the near future.
