After Hours Care for UD Students

Premier Pulse     October 2025

In 2021, Premier Occupational Health launched an after-hours clinic dedicated to serving University of Dayton students. This clinic was started to provide extended care access for students who are unable to visit Student Health during regular hours or who require urgent medical attention outside of standard operating times.

Clinic Hours:
Monday–Friday: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The clinic has been well received by students. In the first five months of 2025, the clinic recorded 754 patient visits across 115 days of operation. The University funds the clinic through a flat fee, while student insurance is only billed for outside services such as laboratory work and imaging.

In addition to providing convenient care, the clinic offers valuable learning opportunities for pre-med students, allowing them to gain hands-on experience while working in a real clinical setting.

Located in Premier Health Center at 1715 Brown St., the after-hours clinic operates in shared space with Premier Physician Network (PPN). PPN serves university employees during the day, while the after-hours clinic serves students during evenings and weekends. The clinic collaborates with Student Health to ensure continuity of care by coordinating follow-up visits and supporting students in receiving appropriate treatment.
