On Monday, October 13, the Digital Health and Technology team, in collaboration with clinical and operational partners across the system, launched phase one of MyChart Bedside. This new feature helps hospitalized patients, and their families stay informed and engaged in the care process throughout their hospital stay.

MyChart Bedside is available through the MyChart app on patients’ personal mobile devices (Android and iOS).

During this first phase, patients can:

  • View their medical chart, including lab results, diagnoses, medications, and educational materials.
  • See their daily hospital schedule, including appointments, medication times, classes, and procedures.
  • Review notes shared by their care team.
  • Add family members or caregivers as proxies, giving them access to information and allowing them to message their loved ones.

This initiative supports our ongoing efforts to improve transparency, enhance communication between patients and providers, and empower patients to take an active role in their care.
