MyChart – offers personalized and secure on-line access to portions of your medical records. It enables you to securely use the Internet to help manage and receive information about your health including reviewing medical history, looking over lab and test results, requesting an appointment and requesting a prescription refill.

Requesting a prescription refill is one of the most useful functions of the MyChart system. To request a refill, follow these easy steps:

  • Go to premiermychart.com and log-in to MyChart with your username and password
  • Click on the words Message Center on the left-hand side of the computer screen
  • Next click on Request Rx Refill
  • The next page is a statement to make sure you understand that the MyChart system is not for use in emergencies. It could take up to two business days for your physician’s office to respond to your request. If you feel comfortable with the time frame, click the Acknowledge Response Time button at the bottom of the page to move forward with the refill process
  • On the next page, choose which medications you would like to request refills for by clicking on the box next to the medication name
  • Next you will have the opportunity to add a comment in a box at the bottom of the page. If you choose to type in your comment, then click the Continue button. If you have no comment, simply ignore the box and click Continue.
  • You can choose a pharmacy at which you would like to pick up your medication. There will be a drop-down menu from which you can choose your pharmacy. Click the arrow on the right side of the menu for the list to drop down. Click the pharmacy of your choice.
  • Finally, click the Submit Request button, and your prescription refill request will be sent to your doctor’s office.

You should receive follow up from your doctor’s office within two business days of submitting your refill request.

Patients can also download the MyChart app to their IPhone, Android and IPad and send and receive messages to their doctor and see their MyChart information on these mobile devices.
