Why shouldn't I use an urgent care as a replacement for visiting my primary care provider?

An urgent care should not be seen as a replacement for a PCP mostly due to the acute nature of illness that the urgent care cares for. Acute care is not a replacement for preventative care, which is generally what our PCPs in the network take care of.
