How is atrial fibrillation (A Fib) treated?
Atrial fibrillation is treated in several different ways. Primarily with medications or with procedures called ablations, this can actually cure the atrial fibrillation. Medications try to reduce the likelihood of having other episodes. Ablation can cure it so that atrial fibrillation does not come back. Some people we cannot treat effectively and we leave them in atrial fibrillation for the rest of their lives, and they can do very well.
