Premier Cardiovascular Institute Vein Clinic
The Premier Cardiovascular Institute Vein Clinic provides expert, medically necessary outpatient treatment for venous disease and select peripheral venous conditions. Our clinic-based program focuses on conditions that can be safely treated outside the hospital, offering lower costs, greater convenience, and faster recovery.
Vein clinic services are available at Miami Valley Hospital North and Miami Valley Hospital South, bringing specialized vein care closer to home.
Conditions We Treat
We evaluate and treat patients with:
- Leg pain, swelling, or heaviness related to venous disease
- Varicose veins
- Chronic venous insufficiency caused by abnormal venous reflux
- Venous stasis ulcers and wounds
- Other medically significant venous disorders
Cosmetic vein treatments are not offered at this time. All care is based on medical necessity and insurance authorization.
In-Office Vein Treatments
We offer a range of minimally invasive outpatient vein treatments. Treatment is tailored to your symptoms, vein anatomy, and ultrasound findings, and may include:
- Radiofrequency ablation (RFA): uses heat to close refluxing veins
- VenaSeal™: medical adhesive used to seal abnormal veins
- Varithena®: ultrasound-guided foam used to treat diseased veins
- Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy: targeted injection therapy for symptomatic veins
- Micro-Stab (ambulatory) phlebectomy: removal of bulging varicose veins through small incisions
Hospital-Based Venous Evaluation and Intervention
We also evaluate patients with complex or deep venous disease that may require hospital-based care, including:
- Iliac vein compression (May-Thurner syndrome)
- Deep venous obstruction
- Post-thrombotic venous disease
When indicated, advanced diagnostic imaging, such as venography and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), is performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory or operating room, with coordinated care for any necessary hospital-based treatment.
Vascular Imaging
Each vein clinic location is equipped with on-site vascular ultrasound, enabling accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care all in one convenient location.
