    Description: IMPORTANT - PENDING STATE EMS BOARD APPROVAL - CALL or e-mail the Program Director at (937) 499-8755 / msclark@premierhealth.com for admission requirements BEFORE registering. 150+ hour EMT education & training. Starts 8-12-19 & graduates on 12-21-19 Students meeting the admission requirements for the Web-Based Hybrid EMT Course will self-study meeting goals and suspense dates established by staff using the Navigate 2 Premier On-Line application. Classroom attendance is only REQUIRED for SKILLS LABS, MODULE EXAMS, and the FINAL SKILLS and WRITTEN EXAMS. Classroom sessions meet on Monday & Thursdays (6p-9:30p), and occasional Saturday mornings (8:30-Noon and/or 1p-4p (as needed)); Tuition includes textbook, workbook, Premier Navigate 2 On-line access, and a CPR certification. There are other additional costs that are not included in the tuition. An Ohio BCI and FBI background check is required (info will be provided at orientation). The course is composed of lecture, skills labs, a field internship, and regular evaluations of student progress followed by a skills examination and class final exam that prep the student to take the National Registry Exam to obtain certification as an EMT in the State of Ohio. -Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) care for the sick and/or injured in emergency settings. People’s lives often depend on the quick reaction and competent care provided by these emergency medical professionals. A 911 operator sends EMTs to the scene of an emergency, where they often work with police and firefighters performing medical services and transporting patients to an appropriate emergency medical facility in a timely manner.
