Welcome 2026 Residents and Fellows

By Raj Mitra, MD, dean of the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and chief academic officer at Premier Health

Headshot of Raj Mitra, MDI am pleased to welcome a new class of resident and fellow physicians who began training across the Premier Health academic health system on July 1. This moment represents the beginning of an important journey grounded in learning, service, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

Over the coming years, these physicians will build clinical expertise, develop critical skills, and care for patients during some of life’s most significant moments. They will learn from dedicated faculty, work alongside experienced caregivers, and collaborate with peers who share a commitment to excellence.

Our partnership with Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine continues to create a strong academic environment where education, clinical care, research, and innovation come together. Graduate medical education remains central to our mission, and residents and fellows play an essential role in advancing both patient care and the future of medicine.

Welcoming a new class of physicians is one of the most meaningful moments of the academic year. These individuals bring talent, energy, and purpose that strengthen our programs and the care we provide to our communities.

Earlier this year, we celebrated the graduation of physicians across multiple programs, continuing a proud tradition of preparing clinicians for careers in academic medicine, specialty care, and community practice.

We are proud to support this next generation of physicians as they grow into clinical leaders. Please join me in welcoming the 2026 class of incoming residents and fellows to Premier Health.
