Updated Criteria for Urinalysis with Reflex to Culture

Effective February 16, 2026, CompuNet Clinical Laboratory updated the UARFXC criteria for outpatients. The test now automatically orders a Urine Culture when any of the updated criteria are met, helping physicians identify infections quickly while reducing unnecessary testing.

The EPIC code for outpatient orders is now LAB10347.

EPIC Code: LAB10347 Urinalysis Expanded Reflex to Culture
Atlas Code: UARFXC Urinalysis Expanded Reflex to Culture
Lab Test: Urine chemical analysis (dipstick) and microscopy with reflex to urine culture
Current Criteria: WBC > 10 cells/hpf or Child < 2 years old
New Criteria: WBC >5 cells/hpf or Leukocyte Esterase >=Trace or Child < 2 years old
