Transition to New Disinfectant Wipes
To support patient safety, infection prevention, and the longevity of clinical equipment, Premier Health is implementing a system-wide transition to a new disinfectant wipe.
Effective immediately, PDI Sani-Cloth Prime wipes will replace Medline Micro-Kill D1 Plus wipes across all sites. The new wipes are compatible with our environment and maintain the integrity of equipment while supporting effective infection control.
Key Highlights
- Preserves the condition and lifespan of mattress pads and clinical surfaces
- Maintains high standards for infection prevention
- Reduces equipment replacement costs and operational disruption
Practice Updates
- Use PDI Sani-Cloth Prime wipes system-wide
- Wet time is 1 minute for all organisms, including Candida auris
- Continue using Medline Bleach wipes for confirmed or rule-out C. diff patients
Additional Update
- CaviWipes will no longer be available due to lack of effectiveness against Candida auris
- PDI Sani-Cloth Prime wipes should be used in their place
