The following are informational updates from across Premier Health that you might find of interest:

Foundations

  • Atrium Medical Center Foundation secured a $600,000 pledge from the Warren County Board of Commissioners in support of the system-wide CareFlight campaign. This commitment will help fund the purchase of a new helicopter to be based at the Warren County Airport.
  • Good Samaritan Foundation–Dayton also received a $60,000 grant from the Wallace Foundation in support of the Care in the Air campaign. These funds will provide three aeromedical stretchers for the new CareFlight AW169 aircraft.

Partnerships

  • Premier Health supported Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine’s Match Day celebration. Dr. Mitra attended the event, along with a Premier Health photographer who captured images of medical students matching into residency programs at Premier Health. Social media posts highlighting the event were also shared.
  • Premier Health played an active role in community events throughout March. The organization was a major sponsor of the Big Hoopla/NCAA First Four series, with representation on the local organizing committee. The sports medicine team also participated in the Hoopla STEM Challenge at Wright State University, engaging students in hands-on learning.
  • Premier Health was the featured speaker at the March meeting of the Safety Council of Southwest Ohio, presenting the program “Nutrition as Medicine” to regional employers and safety professionals. The session provided practical, preventive health education for the workplace.
  • Premier Health hosted a media event at Miami Valley Hospital to showcase its newest robotic surgery technology, with local coverage highlighting the system’s leadership in advanced patient care and investment in innovation, including the launch of the da Vinci 5® surgical system—making Premier Health the first in the Dayton region to offer this technology.
