Life-Saving Recognition, Heroism, and Care in the Air Gala
The following are informational updates from across Premier Health that you might find of interest:
Patient Experience
Premier Health’s EMS teams recognized the City of Monroe Fire Department, local EMS, and a Butler County 911 dispatcher with LifeSaver awards following the successful resuscitation of a 72-year-old patient in cardiac arrest. The recognition highlights the critical role of bystander CPR, and seamless coordination between first responders and Atrium Medical Center caregivers in delivering life-saving care.
Additionally, the City of Centerville and Washington Township honored two nurses from Miami Valley Hospital South with LifeSaver awards for their quick actions during a recent 5K race. When a runner collapsed and lost his pulse, the nurses took turns performing CPR and administering an AED until EMS arrived, helping save his life.
