Impact. Partnership. Community
The following are informational updates from across Premier Health that you might find of interest:
Foundations
The four Premier Health Hospital Foundations hosted the Care in the Air Gala on April 24 at the Wright Bros. Aero Hangar in Vandalia, welcoming more than 800 guests to the sold-out event. Proceeds will support the purchase of a new CareFlight helicopter, the Leonardo AW169. The evening featured a silent auction, dinner, dancing, a patient impact video and a text-to-give initiative. The event concluded with the announcement of a generous gift from Kim and Mark Human and family, whose contribution will support naming the new aircraft.
The annual Caregiver Giving Campaign will take place from April 27 through May 10. This year’s theme, “Be Someone’s Hero,” highlights the importance of supporting patients, caregivers and the community. Funds raised will benefit catastrophic assistance programs as well as scholarships for caregivers and their children. Payroll deductions from the 2026 campaign will begin in September.
Partnerships
In recognition of Donate Life Month, Miami Valley Hospital hosted a donor recognition event for donor families and loved ones. Organ donors were honored during a special ceremony in the chapel, followed by an opportunity for families to view their loved ones’ names on the Donor Wall of Excellence.
Community Relations
Atrium Medical Center’s Natural Beginnings program was featured on WCPO-TV during Black Maternal Health Week, highlighting Premier Health’s commitment to advancing maternal health equity and awareness while educating the community on maternity services.
Atrium’s Maternal Health Center also hosted its third annual Community Baby Shower in Middletown, welcoming nearly 200 expectant and new mothers. The event connected families with community resources and provided essential baby items to support them during a critical time.
Several Premier Health departments participated in the Miami County YMCA Healthy Kids Day, where children and families learned about healthy habits, nutrition and overall wellness.
