This recognition was promoted through earned media to reinforce Premier Health’s reputation for providing trusted maternity care close to home.

Workforce Development

Partnerships and Foundation Updates

During the holiday season, community members came together to support Premier Health patients and caregivers. Xenia High School students delivered care baskets to cancer patients at Miami Valley Hospital South, while local musicians and church groups shared holiday music across hospital campuses. Community organizations also donated food and messages of appreciation for caregivers.

Atrium Medical Center’s HEAL (Help Endure a Loss) program hosted its annual Memorial Tree Lighting in Middletown, offering families a meaningful space to remember and honor babies lost too soon.

Donations from the Upper Valley Medical Center Community Benefit Fund were distributed to food pantries throughout Miami County.

The Miami Valley Hospital Foundation’s Board of Trustees allocated $1,059,075 through its funding priorities to support a range of important projects across Miami Valley Hospital in 2026. Investments from the Foundation’s unrestricted fund include replacing the Spyglass digital controller, which enables advanced endoscopic procedures such as Chol angioscopy and pancreatectomy; updating all beds and nurse call cords to magnetic bed cords; purchasing an instrument that rapidly identifies disease-causing organisms from microbiology cultures; and adding additional Hercules Patient Positioners to help safely and efficiently move patients in their beds.
