Foundation Support Drives Innovation and Patient Care

The four Premier Health hospital foundations recently distributed their 2025 annual report, Inspiring Better Health, to nearly 5,000 donors and community partners. The report highlights how philanthropic support is enhancing patient care throughout the health system, including upgrades to Miami Valley Hospital's pneumatic tube network, advanced cardiac care equipment at Atrium Medical Center, specialized laboratory technology for tumor genetic testing and expanded neurological care services at Upper Valley Medical Center.

Miami Valley Hospital Foundation celebrated the opening of the Ramesh and Sharda Gupta Family Emergency Triage area at Miami Valley Hospital. The project enhances patient privacy, improves safety and supports a more efficient flow of care. The foundation also received a $25,000 grant to support Promise to Hope, a program serving pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorders.

The foundation's 37th Annual Valley Classic welcomed more than 180 golfers and raised funds to support diabetes education through the Bull Family Diabetes Center.

Upper Valley Medical Center Foundation received support from Wayne HealthCare and Wilson Health through the systemwide Care in the Air campaign to help fund the purchase of a new CareFlight AW169 helicopter.

Partnerships Generate National Recognition

Miami Valley Hospital received national and international media attention after sharing the story of 17 Berry Center labor and delivery nurses who are expecting babies this year. The story was featured by ABC News, Good Morning America, TODAY.com, People and numerous television stations nationwide, highlighting Premier Health's supportive culture and exceptional nursing team.

Strengthening Communities Across the Region

Premier Health supported several Independence Day celebrations throughout the region, including events in Middletown and Centerville, helping bring communities together through family-friendly activities.

Premier Health also participated in the You Good, Bro? Health Fair in Middletown, providing health screenings, immunizations, bicycle safety education and information about career opportunities in health care.

Additional outreach efforts included Stop the Bleed and CPR training for youth participating in the Junior Police Academy camp in Lebanon, and participation in the Darke County Chamber of Commerce State of the County Luncheon.

Together, these efforts reflect Premier Health's ongoing commitment to improving health and strengthening the communities we serve.
