Premier Health Receives National Recognition for Excellence in Stroke Care

Premier Health is celebrating a systemwide achievement in stroke care, with all five hospitals earning 2026 American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines® Stroke awards.

The recognition reflects Premier Health's commitment to delivering timely, evidence-based care that improves outcomes for patients experiencing a stroke.

The award recipients are:

  • Atrium Medical Center: Gold Plus, (Target: Stroke Honor Roll) and (Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll)
  • Miami Valley Hospital: Gold Plus, (Advanced Therapy) and (Target: Stroke Honor Roll)
  • Miami Valley Hospital North: Silver Plus, (Target: Stroke Honor Roll)
  • Miami Valley Hospital South: Gold Plus, (Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite) and (Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll)
  • Upper Valley Medical Center: Gold Plus and Target: (Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll)

These awards recognize hospitals that consistently meet the American Heart Association's rigorous standards for stroke treatment and quality improvement. The achievement underscores the expertise, collaboration and dedication of caregivers across Premier Health, ensuring patients throughout the region have access to exceptional stroke care close to home.
