Premier Health Appoints Division Chiefs for Primary Care Institute

Premier Health has appointed three physician leaders to serve as division chiefs for the newly established Primary Care Institute, advancing the organization's efforts to strengthen primary care services and enhance collaboration across the health system.

The newly appointed division chiefs are Annie Aziz, MD, East Region; Joseph Allen, MD, North Region and Urgent Care Services; and Amy Bennett, MD, West Central Region.

As division chiefs, they will provide physician leadership to support the strategic and operational goals of the Primary Care Institute. Key responsibilities include fostering physician and advanced practice provider recruitment and retention, supporting clinical integration, and strengthening collaboration among primary care practices, specialty services, and system leadership.

The creation of the Primary Care Institute reflects Premier Health's commitment to building a coordinated, high-performing primary care network that supports patients across the continuum of care. Physician leadership will play a critical role in advancing quality, access, workforce development, and practice sustainability throughout the organization.

Aziz, Allen, and Bennett bring extensive clinical experience and leadership expertise to their new roles. Their guidance will help shape the future direction of primary care while ensuring local market needs remain aligned with systemwide priorities.

Recruitment is underway for an additional division chief to serve the South Market. The role will help complete the institute's regional physician leadership structure and further support growth and operational alignment across primary care services.
