AI Rollout
Premier Health continues to expand AI tools designed to support clinical efficiency and provider well-being. As of December 15, Epic AI summaries are enabled across acute care and ambulatory settings, and Dragon CoPilot access is now available to all Premier Physicians Network (PPN) ambulatory providers.
Epic AI summaries allow clinicians to quickly review care delivered since a patient’s last visit, over the past three years, or across an entire inpatient admission.
Dragon CoPilot, Nuance/Microsoft’s ambient documentation tool, can generate all or portions of clinical notes and integrates directly with Epic. It currently assists with order preparation and will soon support coding and additional workflows. This systemwide rollout reflects a significant investment in reducing documentation burden and supporting caregivers.
Please note: AI-generated content is draft only. Providers remain fully responsible for reviewing, editing, and validating all documentation prior to signing.
Launch of MyChart Bedside Phase Two
On Monday, January 12, the Digital Health and Technology team, in partnership with teams across the system, will launch phase two of MyChart Bedside (MCB). In October of 2025, MCB phase one launched. MCB enables hospitalized patients and their family members to be more involved in their care journey during hospital stays. The MCB feature is available through the MyChart app on patients' personal mobile devices, including cell phones and tablets (Android and iOS).
MyChart Bedside phase two features MCB include:
- Education: Based on care plan, patients can see specific education topics.
- Request: Patients can request snacks, housekeeping, visitors, and more.
- Questionnaires: Patients can take a Social Determinants of Health questionnaire.
- Documents: In this feature, patients can read documents assigned by a clinician.
More information regarding MyChart Bedside phase two features can be found in Epic News.

Telehealth Flexibilities Update
Recent federal legislation extends current telehealth flexibilities through January 30, 2026, with retroactive coverage for services provided on or after October 1, 2025.
These flexibilities remain temporary. Without further legislative action, telehealth policies will revert to pre-pandemic regulations after January 30, 2026. National advocacy efforts continue to push for permanent telehealth solutions that reflect current care delivery models.
We will continue to share updates as the deadline approaches to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
