Amyloid PET/CT is an advanced molecular imaging exam that helps evaluate patients experiencing cognitive impairment, mild cognitive decline, or suspected Alzheimer’s disease. By detecting beta-amyloid plaque in the brain, one of the defining characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease, the exam provides critical information when the cause of a patient’s symptoms is unclear. This added insight helps clinicians make more confident diagnoses and develop care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

A key strength of Premier Health’s Amyloid PET/CT program is its use of both qualitative and quantitative image analysis.
