If a child swallows something poisonous, what should a parent do?

If you believe your child has swallowed something poisonous, two steps: If your child is unresponsive, choking, turning blue or has passed out, you need to call 9-1-1. If the child has already swallowed it and the child is still responsive, you need to call Poison Control and that number is 1-800-222-1222. Again, 1-800-222-1222. Those are two very important steps to remember if you ever believe your child has swallowed something poisonous.
