You will continue to find enhanced safety measures in place when you schedule appointments and come to our facilities for care — all with the goal of keeping you safe as we care for you.

Extra Safety Measures To Protect You

Strict Cleaning Practices

All Premier Health facilities are utilizing strict cleaning and sanitation practices. All rooms are cleaned continually. We clean our facilities and medical devices with hospital-grade products approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to kill the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

Monitoring the Health Of Our Providers And Staff

All providers and staff are required to wear masks. They are following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for hand hygiene and use hospital-grade personal protective equipment (PPE) that is appropriate for each person’s role.

All providers and staff are screened daily for coronavirus symptoms, including temperature monitoring. Rest assured that we’re constantly monitoring the well-being of our team and will not ask them to come in to work if they meet any of the criteria for COVID-19 symptoms.

Enhanced Processes For Safety

As much as possible, your provider and other Premier Health staff will use appropriate social distancing, keeping six feet between you and them. For some procedures, this isn’t possible. In those cases, we may use plastic or plexiglass barriers to separate you from your care team. In situations that don’t allow for social distancing, your care team will work as quickly as possible to limit close contact.

In addition, we have reviewed all clinical and operational processes with a team of certified infection prevention specialists to ensure the highest level of safety. We have also developed innovative ways to limit in-person contact, such as moving monitoring equipment out of patients’ rooms to preserve PPE, and using phone and video interactions, when appropriate.

COVID-19 Screening Test for Hospitalized Patients

For the safety of our patients and staff, Premier Health requires COVID-19 screening testing for some patients admitted to our hospitals. More information about COVID-19 screening is available on our testing for hospitalized patients page

Telehealth Options

To minimize the risk of coronavirus exposure to yourself and others, Premier Physician Network primary care and specialty providers continue to offer telehealth options to consult with a trusted health care provider from home for patients who don’t need to be treated in person.

Coming To Our Facilities

Please Wear a Mask

In an effort to minimize the risk of exposure to yourself and others, we ask that anyone who enters our facilities wear a face covering or mask. If you are not able to bring a mask with you, we will give you one upon arrival. All Premier Health staff members also will be wearing masks.

For Your Appointment

For all services, when you make an appointment and also the day before your appointment, you will be asked COVID-19 screening questions.

When you arrive, we will complete a brief screening for safety purposes before you enter the building. If you haven’t taken your temperature before you arrive, we will check it for you. We’ll also ask you a few health questions. If you answer yes to any of the questions, we will provide you with instructions on how to proceed.

Please plan to arrive at the time you’re given — and not earlier — so that we can ensure social distancing in our waiting areas. Patient check-in and registration will be completed as quickly as possible to reduce wait time. You may notice new office procedures for waiting and check-in, such as distancing decals on floors.

Visitor Restrictions

Visitor restrictions will remain in place until the state of emergency declaration is lifted for the State of Ohio. Currently, most patients coming to a hospital facility for an outpatient, emergency, or hospital visit may bring one support person. No visitation is allowed for anyone under age 18 unless they are the parent or guardian of a pediatric patient. Learn more about current visitor restrictions in our facilities. In an Emergency

If you are experiencing an emergency, go to your local emergency room or call 911 immediately, as that is the safest way for you to get care in an emergent health situation. 

Home Health Care

Fidelity Health Care is taking many steps to protect you from COVID-19 during a home health visit:

  • All providers perform daily health assessments to ensure no one with flu-like symptoms or a fever will come to your house. If you or a family member have flu-like symptoms, a fever, or have been tested for COVID-19, please let our staff know. 
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) use – We follow strict guidelines for PPE use, meaning that your provider will be wearing a mask when in your home. We ask that you wear a mask too, if you have one. 
  • Handwashing guidelines – Fidelity Health Care staff follow hand hygiene guidelines and will use hand sanitizer frequently before, during, and after your visit. We encourage everyone in your home to frequently wash their hands too. 
  • Sanitizing equipment – Fidelity Health Care cleans and sanitizes all equipment that is brought into your home. We also clean items like stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs between each visit.
  • Social distancing – Staff members will practice social distancing with you and others in your home during your visit. Please help us maintain social distancing whenever possible.
