Premier Health First in Dayton Region to Offer Early Access to Promising Investigational Pancreatic Cancer Therapy

DAYTON, Ohio (AUGUST 19, 2026) – Premier Health is offering eligible patients with advanced pancreatic cancer access to daraxonrasib, an investigational targeted therapy that has shown promising results in clinical studies and is generating significant interest among oncology specialists.

Through a national Expanded Access Program (EAP), Premier Health is currently providing eligible patients access to daraxonrasib before potential FDA approval and broader commercial availability.

Daraxonrasib is an oral therapy designed to target specific genetic mutations associated with tumor growth in many pancreatic cancers. In May 2026 published clinical studies, investigators reported encouraging results, including improved survival outcomes among eligible patients.

"Pancreatic cancer has long been one of the most challenging cancers we treat," said Tarek M. Sabagh, MD, oncologist and chair of Premier Health Cancer Institute. "Because the disease is often diagnosed after it has already spread, treatment options can be limited. For many years, advances have been incremental. That is why the oncology community is paying close attention to therapies such as daraxonrasib."

The drug has not yet received FDA approval. However, the Expanded Access Program allows physicians to provide the investigational treatment to qualifying patients while regulatory review continues.

Under the program, daraxonrasib is administered under strict clinical oversight. Patients are carefully evaluated to determine whether they meet eligibility requirements based on their diagnosis and treatment history.

Premier Health's participation in the Expanded Access Program reflects its commitment to bringing innovative cancer treatments and clinical advancements to patients throughout southwest Ohio.
