Job Description
Premier Health is seeking a BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to provide comprehensive advanced heart failure care for cardiac patients to join our dynamic employed physician team. Physician will treat patients with:
- Acute decompensated heart failure
- Cardiomyopathy
- Evaluate for mechanical cardiac support and cardiac transplant
- General cardiology

Premier Health and The Christ Hospital Health Network have partnered to provide patients access to highly specialized cardiovascular care close to home through joint efforts of leading experts at both organizations. This new partnership allows both organizations to expand access, enhance services, and provide world-class care without duplication of resources. This position will be employed through Premier Health and anchored at Miami Valley Hospital, but also provides the opportunity for approximately 25% of clinical time at The Christ Hospital, allowing the ability to care for and treat our highest acuity transplant and LVAD patients through collaboration with the team of AHF experts at The Christ Hospital.
Premier Health’s Cardiovascular Program performs all aspects of cardiac surgery (except LVAD and transplant) and general thoracic surgery. The program performs over 500 open-heart surgeries per year, 100 TAVRs, ECMO, and over 300 general thoracic cases.
Miami Valley Hospital is a member of Premier Health and is a Level I Trauma Center with CareFlight Air and Mobile services, the area’s first and fastest air ambulance service. Miami Valley Hospital’s cardiology services include open-heart surgery, structural heart procedures, cardiac and vascular stent placement, Watchman Device, and electrophysiology studies. There is a dedicated cardiovascular ICU, along with dedicated heart and vascular medical floors.
