Upside-Down Apple Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped peeled apples
  • 1 can (12.4 ounces) Pillsbury sugar-free refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
  3. Spread 1 cup of the apples in plate.
  4. Separate dough into 8 rolls.
  5. Cut each roll into quarters; place in large bowl.
  6. Add remaining 1/2 cup apples and pecans and toss gently.
  7. Spoon mixture over apples in pie plate.
  8. Bake 28 to 30 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Turn upside down onto serving platter.
  9. Remove lid from icing. Microwave icing on high 10 to 15 seconds or until thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over warm coffee cake.
  10. Serve warm.
