Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Student Clinical Placement Program

An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) includes the roles of the Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and the Physician Assistant (PA).  The APP program is in place to assist the graduate-level registered nurse (RN) and PA student in obtaining the needed clinical hours for graduation.

In addition to helping students gain their clinical time and experience requirements for graduation, we try to place each student in a job opportunity that is fitting for their type of degree and area of study. Our APP student clinical placement program manager works closely with our recruiting department to retain students that have completed the program.

We have a structured process for matching students with preceptors and ask that students work through our program manager to obtain their clinical sites. Our program manager will work closely with you to place you in a clinical setting that meets your school requirements.

Due to limited slots available, Premier Health has the right to limit the number of clinical experiences per student. Additionally, some areas are in high demands with limited resources, such as Peds/OB/WH. As such, there may be times where placement in Peds/OB/WH are not possible.
