How long does whiplash last?

Typically if somebody experiences whiplash, two to three weeks is an expected time for recovery although some symptoms of whiplash can linger. Unfortunately, some people have symptoms for months or years following whiplash.

Usually whiplash symptoms last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

And most patients recover fully within three months of their injury.
