Cancer Care

Premier Health providers answer frequently asked questions about cancer care for women.

Why are colon cancer screenings important for women?

It is recommended that everyone 50 or older get a colorectal cancer screening – a screening for both colon and rectal cancer.

Colon cancer rarely causes symptoms in its early stages. That’s why screening for the disease is important. If found and treated early, the chances are good for a full recovery.

Talk to your physician about when and how often to get screened for colon cancer.
