Which type of gynecological cancers are most diagnosed?

Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecologic cancer in the United States, according to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund AllianceOff Site Icon (OCRFA). Endometrial cancer is a cancer that starts in the endometrium, the inner lining of the uterus; it usually develops slowly and most often occurs in post-menopausal women, according to the OCRFA.

More than 39,000 American women are diagnosed with endometrial cancer in one year, twice the number of women who are diagnosed with cervical and ovarian cancers combined, according to The National Institutes of HealthOff Site Icon (NIH).
