A gynecologist-oncologist is an obstetrician/gynecologist who specializes in cancers of the female genitals, according to the Society of Gynecologic OncologyOff Site Icon (SGO). A gynecologist-oncologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pre-cancerous or cancerous conditions of the vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, according to the SGO.
