Do you ever use injections to help treat an overuse injury?

Most of the time, it consists of a period of immobilization or rest, sometimes in a brace or a cast, sometimes it's just straight rest from the activity for a period of time, along with some therapy or flexibility type exercises to make sure you're getting good muscle strength and flexibility back. Oftentimes, we can also do things in the office such as different injection types such as occasionally corticosteroid injections, which are cortisone injections or sometimes platelet-rich plasma or PRP injections, which can be used to help heal the tendons.

We can provide treatments in the office to reduce swelling, address pain and promote healing. Different injections include corticosteroid injections and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, which help heal damaged tendons.
