What are the symptoms of a cataract?

The most common symptoms caused by cataracts, according to the National Institutes of HealthOff Site Icon (NIH), include:

  • blurry vision
  • cloudy vision
  • double vision
  • faded-looking colors
  • frequent changes in contact or glasses prescription
  • glare or a halo-effect from light sources
  • light seems too bright
  • multiple images in one eye
  • poor night vision
