Natural Childbirth at Atrium Medical Center

Natural Beginnings is a unique birthing program offered by Premier Health at Atrium Medical Center. Our focus is to empower and strengthen women during the childbirth process, encourage family involvement and wellness, and support the natural process of birth with minimal interventions.

If you believe that childbirth is a natural process and a spiritual journey for you and your family, we invite you to grow your family with our natural birthing options.

Our Facilities

The Natural Beginnings Birth Center at Atrium Medical Center features private natural birthing suites for labor and delivery, including queen-sized beds, built-in jacuzzi tubs for water birth, and more space for a family-friendly experience. Our obstetrician-gynecologists and certified nurse midwives work with you to create the birth experience you desire in a home-like environment. Take a virtual tour for a closer look.

Supportive Care

Our dedicated midwives and nurses are skilled at assisting, supporting, and guiding women and their families through the process of natural childbirth using a variety of natural childbirth tools. You may choose movement, aromatherapy, music, positioning, labor tools, and water therapy to cope with labor and birth. In fact, our team encourages you to use positions and techniques for delivery that feel right to you.

Peace of Mind

Natural Beginnings is part of Atrium Medical Center’s Family Birth Center, offering an additional safety net of nursing and medical staff nearby who can respond with emergency and surgical care, if needed. Should any complications arise, and your baby needs specialized care, our Level II Special Care Nursery is located on-site, and our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Miami Valley Hospital is easily accessible.
