As a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist, Dr. Selyne Samuel is up to date on the latest surgical advances, recommendations, and guidelines for women who have or are at high risk of getting breast cancer. Dr. Samuel’s fellowship training means she has an additional layer of expertise in the field of breast surgery, having studied genetics and the biology of breast tumors for a greater understanding of which treatment options work best for which cancers, providing you peace of mind in your level of care.
Breast Cancer Treatments
Your individualized breast cancer treatment plan will be based on our diverse cancer-fighting tools and technologies, from noninvasive breast biopsies to different types of surgery—including lumpectomy and nipple-sparing mastectomy. Dr. Samuel will work closely with you and your multidisciplinary care team to decide on a treatment plan specific to your type and stage of cancer. We will be there to listen to you and help you and your family cope with the emotional and psychological impact of breast cancer.
Noncancer Treatments
Some benign (or noncancerous) breast diseases present as masses and, although are not cancer, can still cause symptoms. Dr. Samuel and team will be there for you every step of the way, from identifying underlying issues to follow-up breast care and treatment to bring you comfort and relief.
