May 6 – 12, 2019 is National Nurses Week

National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale's birthday. It features a host of events across the U.S. to honor nurses for the work they do and educates the public about nurses’ role in health care.

Beginning in 1993, the American Nurses Association declared May 6 - 12 as the national week to celebrate and elevate the nursing profession.

The theme for this year is “4million REASONS TO CELEBRATE”. Do you have nurses on your team? Check out their resources and find a way to celebrate your nurses during this week in May, like a special recognition during the service on May 12th!
