Greater Dayton Area FCN/Health Ministers Network

Join us at the Greater Dayton Area Faith Community Nurse/Health Ministers Network! Meetings are held quarterly and focus on sharing information, learning from guest presenters and reflecting on theological issues. These elements help to reinforce our belief that healing of body, mind and spirit is rooted within the faith community and the healing power of God.

Topic: “Through the Eyes of the Behoarder” -- The Health Care Professionals Guide to Understanding Professional Hoarding

Presenter:  Kristy Matheson, LSW, CDP, Community Educator, Hospice of the Miami Valley

This seminar will define hoarding through the eyes of those who struggle with this disorder and will define the DSM-V diagnostic criteria for compulsive hoarding. Participants will understand the stages of hoarding and the thought processes involved. Interventions, treatment modalities and safety concerns associated with hoarding will also be discussed.
