Premier Physician Network Opens A Fib Clinic to Meet Growing Demand

DAYTON, Ohio (December 1, 2017) – Premier Physician Network will open the Middletown Cardiology Associates A Fib Clinic this fall to provide specialized care for a disease that affects more than 2.7 million Americans.

Atrial fibrillation (A Fib) is a health condition whereby the upper chambers of the heart (atria) beat irregularly and fast, disrupting the normal movement of blood and increasing the risk of clotting, according to the American Heart Association. Up to 20 percent of people with A Fib will experience a stroke due to a clot that forms from the condition and then travels to the brain.

“This clinic will help those in our community who need guidance with the disease from diagnosis to treatment,” Sandeep Gupta, MD, a cardiologist with Middletown Cardiology Associates and director of the clinic. “A Fib is a serious condition if left untreated, but is also one with which a person can lead a healthy life if cared for with regular examinations by a qualified cardiologist.”

Dr. Gupta will lead a team of several health care providers to care for patients with the condition. The clinic will provide personalized care in a single setting with a direct line to make appointments and easy parking near the facility.

The clinic, located at 103 McKnight Dr., in Middletown, is accepting new patients and can be reached by calling 1-866-AFIB-DOC.
