Implicit Bias – Is it Real?

Implicit, or unconscious, bias is an unconsciously held set of associations about a social group. The word “unconscious” implies that we are not aware of these patterns. A more academic description is often noted as implicit social cognition. These attitudes or stereotypes affect our actions and decisions in an unconscious manner. Read more.
